Gillespie joined the Full Employment Council as a youth and got a scholarship to help her become a certified nursing assistant. But becoming a CNA was just the first step, through the Full Employment Council and programs like Missouri Works Assistance, TECH Hire and Skill Up, Erica was able to continue her education and enrolled in a Registered Nursing program. Erica was the first member of her family to graduate college and was proud to show her three children that success comes from hard work. "There was not one need unmet, thanks to the FEC and the scholarships I received,” said Gillespie. “I’m very grateful.”
